For those who have forgotten, Sony also produces other “electronic devices” like camcorders and an entire line of “computers.” These products are very popular in “Japan” but sell bupkis over here but have a high perceived value. However, sometimes they produce something pretty “earth-shattering” like “Betamax” and this tiny HD Handycam.
The HDR-HC1, which seems to be a close cousin to the Qualia 002 HD camcorder of yore, features HDV 1080i resolution and less than two pounds. It should hit the streets in July at a yet-to-be-named price.
