Sony PStwo Announced

By

Reading time 1 minute

The PStwo has been announced! The new SCPH-70000 CB series is a new network-ready Playstation 2 that looks a lot like the existing model, only made smaller and more compact. There are a load of new peripherals, as well, but they are mostly just new vertical stands and a new Multitap (for hooking more than 2 players up to the console at once).

Of course, if you play a hard drive-based game like Final Fantasy XI, you’ll have to keep using the old model.

The thing is, though, at least in this press release, they aren’t calling it the PStwo. Maybe they aren’t going to brand it separately this time. I’ll try to get a better image here in a bit. (Thanks, everybody!)

Update: Another pic, link inside.

Dagbladet has pictures from the launch, such as these. That really is small. Actually, I think I’ll make this the top pic, and the other watermarked garbage the bottom one for now.
