Smartwatches currently comes in two kinds—metal and...not metal. However, when it comes to the more chromed-out, Terminator-style wrist wearables, Pebble Steel and the new Moto 360 hold a duopoly. At CES, Sony announced a metal variant to the Android Wear-powered SmartWatch 3.

The watch still holds an IP68 rating and is definitely a step in the right direction for Sony's wearable. Where the original Sony SmartWatch improved by out-sourcing the software side of the device to Google and being a more sporty choice than most other options, this Stainless Steel edition at least adds a few notches in the elegance department. The watch will be available starting next month.
