Sunday Housecleaning

By

Reading time 2 minutes

Good Sunday, internet friends. I thought I’d do some catching up today instead of lazing about as I normally do, soaking in the nutrient bath and giving myself mild electric shocks. While I have some gadgetry and the like to share, I need to make a short announcement and ask a couple questions first, if you don’t mind. Nothing too personal, but it would be nice if you could start filling out these sexual history forms just in case.

The announcement: I’m going to Japan.

Leaving this Friday in fact, and I’ll be there the entire week of Thanksgiving. My schedule is actually pretty open, so if you have any suggestions of things for me to see let me know. If you’re a company with an office in Tokyo, you should also get in touch with me if you’d like for me to come out and view your products and the like. If you’re a reader and would like to say hi, feel free to ping me as well.

Gizmodo will still be updating regularly, with Brendan Koerner at the helm and Ryan and Liam still making updates, as well. Even better, I’ll be updating from Tokyo, too, with regular dispatches about the experiences of a frightened foreigner huddling in his hotel room cutting himself.

So that’s that. More on that, I’m sure.

Now the next thing. If you’re a company that has been featured on Gizmodo and have had a big surge in sales or even been affected negatively, the WSJ would like to hear from you, I guess. Just send me any experiences you’ve had after being linked by us and I’ll forward them on to whoever is rounding this stuff up.

Lastly, if you’ve got a car that came from the factory with a minijack line-in for the stereo, could just send me a short email telling me year, make, and model of your car and maybe where the line-in is at (like, on the dashboard or in the faceplate or what)?

Thanks, people!
