Tricia Helfer to star in new “erotic body horror” film alongside the alien bird woman from Resident Alien. The small, independent film company A24 produces a $200 million Elden Ring film. The Chain has never been broken, not once, not in fourteen centuries, not since we Elders first began to leapfrog through time: one awake, two asleep; that’s the way of it. It is Morning Spoilers’ turn to reign, not mine!

Devour
THR has word Tricia Helfer and Georgia Bradner are attached to star in Devour, an “erotic body horror” film from director Erica Orofino. The story concerns a “former professional figure skater (Helfer) facing compulsions she cannot control as she becomes dangerously fixated on Karla, her daughter’s friend played by Georgia Bradner (Ghosts, Resident Alien). A forbidden attraction then becomes an obsession and a self-destructive unravelling of Luisa’s life in increasingly terrifying and transgressive ways.”
Madison
Variety also reports Story Kitchen has acquired the film rights to the horror video game, Madison. In the game you play as Luca Maxwell, “who has received an instant camera as a 16th birthday present. Unfortunately for Luca, the camera is inhabited by a demon that forces him to continue a murderous ritual started decades ago by a satanist serial killer (the titular Madison). Players must solve puzzles using the camera to try to break the cycle of madness.” No director or writer are currently attached.
The Batman, Part II
During a recent interview with GamesRadar+, Robert Pattinson described Stephen Soderbergh’s decision to help complete The Batman, Part II as “completely selfless.”
I am so happy he’s come on to help Matt [Reeves]. It’s incredibly generous of him—and he’s doing it in the loveliest way. It’s completely selfless. I think Matt had put so much work into the script, and we’re almost done. So for someone to come in and say, ‘I just want to help Matt do it; I want to do it in conjunction with him and just get it to the edit.’ And to have someone who’s as talented as Steven doing it is great.
“I think they’re in production already,” Pattinson added. “And I’m starting in a couple of days.”
Elden Ring
According to the Wall Street Journal, the budget for A24’s Elden Ring movie from director Alex Garland has ballooned to around $200 million.
Coven Academy
Deadline reports Coven Academy has been already renewed for a second season at Disney+ and Hulu.
