The Riverdale trailer declares it to be a town where “everything is perfect and nothing is what it seems.” I’d say that this trailer is exactly what it seems: perfect. It can’t be a drama if there isn’t a big old slap, can it?
How can you not love a show which prominently features a “Welcome to Riverdale: The Town With Pep!” sign? Or the statement that the corpse of Jason Cherry has “the touch of evil”? Or one of the most famous love triangles in comic books becoming a love square with the addition of Ms. Grundy?

I really want to know who murdered Jason. I really hope it wasn’t Jughead. Also, this trailer doesn’t have nearly enough Cherry Blossom (a.k.a. Cheryl Blossom in this show). She stole the pilot away from everyone else.
Riverdale premieres January 26.
