On a hot summer evening, it’s tough to be the guy who guards the gas pump. Sometimes all the monsters who just got drunk at Horse With No Name come at you with knives and demand pints of petrol.
Guy-Pascal Vallez, an illustrator, just posted this series, which he calls “doom doodles.” I would call them delightful doom, since they are some of the most playful depictions of weird horror I have ever seen. I particularly love the pirate ship and walking city full of crazy-mouthed creatures. These images remind me of Archigram on acid, which is basically like saying “people who are on acid who have just taken more acid.”
