Commuting offworld every day sounds glamorous until you actually spend time in a space elevator, followed by the wormhole train. It’s as if nobody bothers to shower before doing an interstellar jump. My advice? Aromatherapy lip gloss and earbuds.

Those of you who read Jeff VanderMeer’s novel Finch may find this scene reminds you of the climactic moments in the novel – though I suppose the area would need to be more urban to fully reflect the story. Still, the instant I saw this I thought, “Finch!”
