As you can hopefully see, we've redesigned our Gizmodo front page yet again to make it easier for you to find the stories you want to read. We think you'll like it, and here's why.
First, the condensed page allows us to keep more stories on the front page (about 200% more!) for a longer period of time. This means you'll no longer have to pick up on page two after you've come back from lunch. You'll also notice a decrease in page load time, which also helps you get to where you want to be that much faster.
What's nice is that if you really don't like the new format, you can click up there in the "View" dropdown and go back to the old page format with stuff expanded.
The new layout also allows us to do things like call attention to really IMPORTANT stories, for example the Zune Phone being announced or a real life Batman sighting. Readers who are subscribed to our email alert list will also get notifications via that method as well. We'll also have some new features as well rolling out in the coming weeks, keep an eye out.
Hopefully you'll like what we've done, but you should definitely let us know here in the comments how we can improve even more. Thanks!
