The Oculas

By

Reading time 1 minute

In my years of ranging across the open internet I’ve learned a few things., like never make jokes about dead hookers when you might have an IM window open to your grandmother. I’ve also learned never to trust any website that says, “You know, we already made this PDF thing. Why don’t you just look at that.” So regarding the Oculas computing thingy, my hackles are on raised alert. It doesn’t help either that it appears to be yet another one of these ‘revolutionary multi-sensory multi-media experience chambers,’ which for $5,000 (I’m guessing) end up giving you less customization options than your standard refrigerator box. The time I taped a hand-drawn Wing Commander radar display to the inside of my Photon helmet? Awesome. Paying god knows how much to lock myself in a giant mint Skittle to stare at a 15-inch screen? Not so much. (Thanks, Justin!)
