Humans was one of our favorite shows last year, so getting to see more of the upcoming second season is always a good thing in our books. Our latest look at the show raises its creepiness factor in some big ways, as we see even more synths gaining awareness of their humanity… for better or worse, it seems.

Revealed over at Entertainment Weekly today, the new trailer sees the code Niska released into the world activate the ability to feel emotion and pain in a whole host of synths, bringing the once docile servants one step closer to true sentience.
Whether that’s a good thing or not remains to be seen, but considering it’s Humans, you can count on some conflict arising between the conscious synths and their human creators pretty damn soon. Humans season two will air on AMC in February 2017.
