Disney Animation Celebrates 100 Years
Starting January 27, the Disneyland resort will kick off events for Disney 100/ Debuting for the festivities will be World of Color – One at Disney California Adventure, a new nighttime spectacular that will span Disney’s century of stories with a new song, “Start a Wave.” At Disneyland, the castle, as well as other park monuments, will come to life with a new show that will project Disney’s history in animation to the tune of a new song, “It’s Wondrous,” and light up the sky on select nights. Over at Toontown, Mickey’s Runaway Railway will open ahead of the area’s completion and “Magic Happens” will make its much-awaited return as the resort’s new parade, following a short run after its initial debut in 2020.
