This footage comes from the 2012 Japan Juggling Festival, held this year in Tokyo. The wizard artist you’re watching is named Akihiro Yanai “Yanazo”, and he’s performing what is known as “contact juggling,” whereby a ball or ball is rolled, tossed, balanced and bounced around using only the juggler’s body. Yanazo keeps this up for six minutes, adding orbs to his routine until he’s manipulating a total of three spheres.
His performance earned him a first-place finish at JJF2012, and it’s not hard to see why. It is, in a word, remarkable. Seriously. Kick back, relax, and enjoy your six-minute vacation from the laws of physics.
