Ruby, a young mute girl, hides out in a scrap yard where she can hide her secret powers. But after she sneaks out one day and stops an act of cruelty, trouble follows her home, and her ability is no longer a secret; it’s a weapon.
Michael Spiccia of Brindle Path Films directed Yardbird, and it is a winner. The character truly does feel like an outcast from the world, and we most definitely don’t want to get on her bad side.
