A new promo for the 10th season of The Walking Dead was just released which, let’s be honest, isn’t really newsworthy. There are new promos for big shows like The Walking Dead released every day. What makes this one noteworthy though is the craftsmanship behind it.

It’s really and truly beautiful. Check it out.

We mean, come on. Slow-motion hair, samurai swords, Whisperers putting on zombie skins? That’s a wonderful promo. Things are probably going to be less wonderful for the characters on the show, though, as they try to exist alongside the Whisperers with a showdown all but inevitable. But, as the promo says, they think they can silence them.

We’ll see when The Walking Dead returns October 6.

COMIC SPOILERS ...

I really hope they just let Michonne leave on a sailboat, and take her son with her. Possibly Judith, too, but I could also see Judith staying with Carol and Daryl, because Alexandria is home.

Or, let Michonne end up in the Commonwealth, so she can go back to being a lawyer, and eventually become Judge Hawthorne.

I liked the new direction of the last season for the most part, but I’m one death away from just like being completely out on this show. I was almost out this season, but there was enough to keep me watching with the time jump. The heads on the spikes, though. Henry.

It’s BORING. Like, killing off cast members is expected at this point. It’s not shocking any more. In a weird way, it makes things feel less realistic to me, there’s just almost too much death to even believe that anyone survives.

If it keeps up, it’s going to look more and more like the TV show is aiming for the original comic book finale (i.e., all humans are dead, only zombies remain). And that’s not what I want to watch for fun.
