What’s new on the comic stands? First off, author Jeff Lemire brings a new approach to the supernatural DC Comics character Kid Eternity in National Comics. (“Can introverted medical examiner Kid Eternity solve a deadly crime in just 24 hours?”)

Other debuts include the new dimension-hopping mutant series X-Treme X-Men (“Travel the multiverse with Captain Howlett, Kid Nightcrawler, and Emmeline Frost”), the Sith-happy miniseries Star Wars: Darth Maul – Death Sentence, and Axe Cop: President Of The World. (“Axe Cop has been appointed president of the whole world.”)

There are new issues of Spaceman, The Goon, The Flash, Uncanny X-Force, Avengers, Wolverine and the X-Men, BPRD: Hell On Earth – Exorcism, American Vampire, and Before Watchmen: Comedian.

You can also check out previews of this week’s issues of Aquaman, Hawken, and Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye.

For graphic novels, KISS: Greatest Hits reprints those wacky 1970s Marvel KISS comics, and the first volume of Mark Waid’s run on Daredevil is out in paperback. Finally, Lemire also pens and illustrates a cryptic-sounding book, The Underwater Welder:

As Jack dives deeper and deeper, he seems to pull further and further away from his young wife, and their unborn son. But then, something happens deep on the ocean floor: Jack has a strange and mind-bending encounter that will change the course of his life forever.

As usual, here’s the list of everything being released to comic stores tomorrow, and you can find your nearest comic retailer here. Happy reading, gang!
