Our LA-based sister-site Defamer has a great write-up about a recent study that shows people that use a TiVo (or other DVR) may actually be watching more commercials than those that watch regular TV. The boil down is this: people that use a TiVo have a higher “viewer statisfaction” which causes them to watch more TV, which in turn causes their total ad watching time to increase, even with the occasional fast-forwarding through ads.
