Toshiba is releasing a clever portable DVD player in Japan that I hope finds its way here—if not the very model, then at least the form factor. While the 1,024 by 600 pixel widescreen LCD is nice and all, what really revs me is the Tablet PC-style twist screen, that lets you watch movies in clamshell or slate form. There are some other nice features on the SD-P2700, like built-in flash memory card reader and DVD-Audio support (2 channel), but the twist screen is really all I care to start seeing on American models.
