Although a graphing scientific calculator is certainly more powerful (TI-81 4 LYFE), this 312KC Calculator from Trust gives it a run for its geeky money. If the big keys weren’t already a giveaway, the 312KC can be hooked up via USB to a computer (probably a laptop, in most cases) and used as a numeric keypad, or as a separate calculator that saves its transactions to the PC. It doesn’t have a ton of higher order features, but for a little over $40, it would fit into a pocket protector just fine. I knew I’d like it before I even saw it.
