iRiver has two new music players coming up, both of which sport nice looking color LCD displays. The silver iFP-900 has a 1.2-inch LCD (the two units in the pictures probably definitely aren’t to scale), 40 hour play time with a rechargeable battery, real time MP3 encoding from line-in, integrated FM tuner, or microphone, and memory sizes between 256MB and 1GB. The only real downside to the iFP-900 is its lack of a USB 2.0 interface. It’s brother unit, the H300, addresses the USB 2.0 deficiency, which is especially important since it comes in either 20GB or 40GB sizes. The hard disk-based player can play back not only MP3s and WMAs, but Ogg Vorbis, as well, and also has the ability to display JPGs and BMPs on its 2-inch integrated color LCD. And if your camera (or anything else, really) meets the USB On The Go specification, you’ll be able to hook the H300 directly to the device to transfer images or what have you for storage. iRiver is claiming up a 16 hour battery life, as well. No word on pricing yet for either unit, but we’ll keep an eye on the H300, especially, and let you know. (Thanks, Tim!)
