The UGREEN FineTrack Air Tracker Tags are a 4-pack of small Bluetooth trackers that work with Apple’s Find My network, which means they do pretty much the same job as a single Apple AirTag at a fraction of the price. Each tag is about the size of a quarter, attaches to a keyring or slips into a wallet, and pairs with an iPhone or iPad in a single tap through the built-in Find My app. Once added to the Items tab, you can see where every tag is on a map, make any of them beep when you’re nearby, and get lost-item alerts when you walk away from one.
An easy way to track down all your lost items
The main attraction of these tags is how they leverage the Apple Find My network. Any iPhone, iPad, or Mac will anonymously report your tag’s location back to you when it encounters that tag, making lost bags on planes or lost keys in a park much more likely to be returned than lost bags using trackers limited to a smaller proprietary network. Also, the Apple Find My Network doesn’t charge a subscription fee or require you to download an additional app, making it even more convenient to set up.
UGREEN rates the FineTrack tags for up to 2 years on the included CR2032 coin cell, which is double the lifespan of many budget trackers. The battery is user-replaceable, so when it eventually runs out, you can swap it for a new coin cell from any drugstore for a couple of dollars instead of throwing the tag away. The Find My app shows each tag’s battery status, so you’re never caught off guard.
Safety and privacy are both covered. The tags are UL4200A certified for child safety, meaning the battery compartment meets standards that keep small batteries out of reach of curious kids, and they’re Apple MFi certified for use with Find My. All location data is end-to-end encrypted through Apple’s network, so no one, including UGREEN, can see where your items are.
Worth knowing before you buy: the FineTrack tags only work with iOS. That means they pair with iPhones and iPads, and macOS can only view their location through the Find My app. They won’t work with Android phones or tablets at all, so if your household runs on Pixels, Galaxies, or any other Android brand, these aren’t the trackers for you.
The UGREEN FineTrack Air Tracker Tags are on sale for $20 instead of the usual $26. Four tags for $20 is roughly the price of a single AirTag, making this one of the easiest ways to slap a tracker on your keys, wallet, backpack, and suitcase at once.
