Undead at CTIA: Newgen Concept Phone

By

Reading time 1 minute

Newgen is a Korean company showing off some US products, most of which are tiny, shiny models that are more about small size than super feature sets—and they look pretty good, really. There’s no promise that we’ll actually get any of the phones, but some of the designs are pretty fun, including this concept phone that slides up and twists, basically for no good reason.

And when I was doing a little research about Newgen (I know, it won’t happen again), I happened on this great CTIA round-up article from PC Mag’s capable cell phone man Sascha Segan, talking about all the low-end phones being shown off at the show. Since there aren’t really any new high-end phones showing up, the low-margin, fill-in-the-cracks companies are the real interesting ones.
