Cablevision has announced it will not be retaining the Voom high-definition satelllite television service, despite plans for Cablevision chairman Charles Dolan had to run the service himself. With only 26,000 customers, the service proved to be too expensive to maintain, which is a real bummer—the HD service from Voom was gorgeous (not that I could afford it, either). Voom service will continue for 30 days, and then be axed. That should give you early Voom adopters time to sign up for something else, if available.
