I don’t know if VTEC Europe is the same company as our VTEC—and finding out would edge me perilously close to real journalistic effort—but if they are swinging on the same side they’re a company I really like (it’s their incredibly fun-featured kids toys that does it for me, really). That being said, this V-MMV player ain’t going nowhere, because not only does the market tend to shy away from anything that isn’t iPod, it seems to be especially cruel to things that look like shoddy knock-offs of popular products. It’s too bad, too, because interface aside, being able to play video on your color screen really is a step above just playing pictures.
I don’t know if they even plan on releasing the V-MMV here in the States, but for now the player is selling for £309.
