Wal-Mart has begun selling a flash memory-based MP3 player under its store brand 'iLo' for just $80. Called the 'iLo Music Player' (as far as I can tell), the unit comes with 256MB of memory and a built-in FM radio tuner. Someone get out to Wal-Mart and test one out for us, okay? The closest Wal-Mart to me is like 3 hours away (and strangely, I never miss it).
No word when Sam's Club will start selling these by the crate, but it can't be far behind. And while we're hitting the Wal-Mart softballs, I wonder if the music player will censor all f-bombs? If it doesn't, can I sue them?
Update: Glen Copeland pointed out something because he is smart. Wal-Mart had been selling the Rave-MP 256 Sport player (still are actually). On the page for the Rave-MP player is a picture, showing the "Alien Crime Syndicate" display as on this new player. Hence, using the power of deduction and the knowledge that Mrs. Butterworth's glass apron is only 5/16ths of an inch thick, exactly the dimensions of the killer's stiletto, we can deduce that the new iLo player is probably a rebranded Rave-MP product, which is in turn a rebranded Asian product of unknown origine.
