The ceremony kicks off at 6:00 pm (US Eastern Time), and the evening’s proceedings should last somewhere between 60 and 90 minutes.
If you’ve never watched the Igs before, trust us, this is something you want to watch. There’s partial nudity, paper airplanes, and actual Nobel laureates in attendance. In 2011, several of those Nobel laureates partook in an operatic ode to coffee’s effects on the human sphincter. That same year, the mayor of Vilnius was awarded the Ig Nobel Peace Prize for demonstrating that “the problem of illegally parked luxury cars can be solved by running them over with an armored tank.” The ceremony is… well… it’s a good time, to say the least.
