Today our own Kate Knibbs documented how she discovered her good name was being used to publish clickbait content on Elite Daily. While Kate was able to reclaim her identity in this instance, the Internet is full of ridiculous scams.

I always wonder who falls for spam emails—promises of untold riches, if you’ll only send your banking information to a stranger in a distant country. But these millions were left for you! Others are craftier: emails made to look like they came from a trusted company, complete with false websites to skim your info; innocent-looking links that turn insidious. And then there are projects on websites like Kickstarter and Indiegogo that seem great, rack up support, and then never deliver.

So what online fraud still has you shaking your head?
