Boost Productivity

Windows 11 Pro comes with some useful upgrades over the previous edition. Among these is Unviersal Search. This centralized search engine exists right along the taskbar and can be used to search both within your machine and across the web. When you conduct a search, it simultaneously is scanning your applications, documents, photo library as well as running an internet search for the terms entered. So whether you’re trying to fin some Word document you built out ages ago, looking for a recipe you’re pretty sure you downloaded at some point, or just looking up an address, Universal Search streamlines things by including all the results in one place. You only need one search bar for everything.

Virtual Desktops is a dream come true for multitaskers. When you enable Task View, you’ll be able to set up several customized desktops that can be tailored to your varying needs. If you use the same computer for everything, this feature will allow you to split up your needs across different home screens. You can make one dedicated to launching your games, one devoted to your side hustle, while another is dedicated to school work. This makes them each feel like a unique device with their own layout and shortcuts, and you can hop between them effortlessly.

Some other Windows features you may not be aware of can also work to improving your workflows. For instance, many of us already know about Ctrl + V. This is the keyboard shortcut for paste, which saves you time from right-clicking and selecting paste from a dropdown. However, do you know of Win + V. This is like a super paste function. Using this command will bring up a history of all your recently copied items, both images and text. This can really streamline you’re ability to transfer information while avoiding the constant hopping back and forth between browser tabs.

Then of course, Window 11 Pro comes with OneDrive integration. Through OneDrive, you can synchronize your files and settings preferences across multiple devices and access your files from wherever you have an internet connection. Saving something to your desktop means you’ll be able to quickly access it from your phone later one.
