Wonder Woman officiates a same-sex wedding in the new issue of Sensation Comics, a digital series written and drawn by Jason Badower. In the scene, Wonder Woman takes a break from bloodlessly stopping a war between Eastern European countries to preside over the wedding of a woman she met volunteering for relief efforts. News outlets are calling this Wonder Woman’s first same-sex wedding. But as she points out to Clark Kent in the comic, on the all-female island she comes from, a gay wedding is just a wedding. Now the only question is how long it’ll take before a real-life geek couple works “bound by the lasso of truth” into their wedding vows.
