WWDC 2005 Round-Up

Reading time 1 minute

BOOM – OS X on Intel. Ok. It’s official. They’re offering a developer transition kit for $999. Tool is called Rosetta to turn everything from PowerPC to Intel.

Joel was just on his way to the lumber yard when he mentioned the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference and I’m all like “Wha?” and he’s all like “Job’s keynote is almost starting” and I’m all like “But I want to eat lunch.”

Anyway, here’s what we’ve got so far:

QuickTime 7.0 is out today.

Next version is called Leopard—after that it’ll be Ocelot. Then Meerkat, which is like a cat that stands up.

Over 400 Dashboard widgets now available.

Stay tuned… No bombshells yet.
