X-Arcade Dual Controller Review

If retro-gaming is your thing, then you could do much worse than to purchase the X-Arcade Dual Controller, a $150 two-player, two-joystick version of the original X-Arcade. With a whopping 8 buttons (all of which are covered by a device-wide lifetime warranty) and a USB interface, there shouldn’t be a single MAME experience that can’t be enhanced by these arcade-quality (I mean that in a good way) bricks. That is, unless your thing is Centipede, which might mean you need to pick up one of X-Arcade’s trackball versions, as well. ViperLair has a review, but their gushing remarks aren’t surprising; the X-Arcade is pretty much the gold standard for home arcade gaming. The PC version comes with a serial-to-USB converter, but additional adapters can be purchased from X-Arcade for around $20 to use the controllers with console systems like the Gamecube or Playstation.
