The US Navy is set to christen an experimental aluminum catamaran dubbed the ‘X-Craft,’ designed to serve as a test bed for a variety of future coast-hugging combat technology. A multi-purpose ramp lets the X-Craft launch a variety of “manned and unmanned surface and sub-surface vehicles,” like inflatable boats and scouting submarine drones.
