Tom’s Hardware Guide has what I thought, at first, was going to be an in-depth dissection of the Xbox Media Center project, but ends up being a fairly high-level overview, serving more as an introduction to XMBC’s capabilities than anything real nitty-gritty. Still, if you’ve considered buying a mod chip to turn your Xbox into a fairly decent media center, XBMC is pretty much the choice of champions and this is a good place to get an idea of what you are stepping into. XBMC has even become so polished that they are now working to move the software back onto regular Windows XP PCs. (Thanks, Jason!)
