Xdrive has launched a new service called ‘Xdrive Music’ that will stream your music to your Palm, Treo or Sony Clie. Simply upload your music to Xdrive and use their playlist creator to get started (they also offer a “mail in a disk” program that lets you burn and send instead of taxing your broadband’s upstream for an extended period of time). You’ll need to install a music player that can stream .mp3 and .m3u files on your portable device, too. Then Xdrive will push your music down to your mobile device for $10/month for 5 gigs. I’m not too sure why you wouldn’t just set up a Shoutcast server and stream from that for free, but to each their own.
