It’s rare that a watch strikes my lust gland as clearly as the YES Zulu did. The $800 titanium-clad timepiece not only tells time (through a digital display), but has a built-in analog 24 clock. As the single hand moves through its 24-hour cycle, the display underneath shows how much daylight is left in the day, adding a more integrated time-telling experience to your arm. And since the YES watch knows where you are (by selecting one of 500 some-odd cities, or inputting latitude and longitude) and what date it is, it can tell you all sorts of other interesting information, like high and low tides (tales from topographic oceans, perhaps), the phases of the moon, and how much you’d all like to chip in to buy me one for my birthday.
