The latest in laptop security: Zero-Interaction Authentication. Rather than require fingerprint scans or passwords for access, users wear a wireless-enabled ‘authentication token’ that can be built into a watch or an item of clothing. Whenever the token is in range of the laptop, the computer functions normally, but get up for a few minutes to get some coffee or grab the paper, and it locks up. Still a prototype, so no word on when, or if, this might become available.
