Imagine a world where you can use the same phone to make both regular calls and Skype calls. Does such a world even exist? Thanks to USRobitics and their recently announced USR809620 it sure does. It s an adapter that allows you to use your normal, everyday phone in both the traditional sense (read: hooked up to a telephone line) as well as with Skype. The adapter uses several technologies designed to improve the quality of the connection, including echo cancellation and advanced signal processing. Frills range from a Caller ID display to a feature that forwards Skype calls to cell phones. Alas, USRobotics has not released pricing or availability details as of yet, so stay tuned.
