Chinese company TCLAST claims its C150 is the first digital media player with a dual core chip inside. The company says the processor is specially modified to jack the signal-to-noise ratio up to 100dB. The player has just 512MB onboard, hardly enough to store a whole lot of its MPEG-1 video, and it also has an FM tuner and in-line recording. No pricing or availability was announced.
We're just not sure how much that 100dB s-to-n ratio is going to help highly-compressed MP3 files.
