Plextor has announced a new line of what they are calling "shock proof" portable hard drives. There are two models available in 80GB and 120GB capacities with prices at $169 and $260. They have a specially designed silicon jacket bumper that supposedly prevents the drive from crashing when dropped. I'm sure this silicon jacket helps it tremendously, but I highly doubt that this hard drive is completely shock proof. Still could be helpful for those klutzy people.
