Wood is a timeless construction medium that will be around long after silver/white/black finishes are things of the past. So why don't we see more wood in electronics? I used to think it was for durability, but if you hadn't noticed, current build materials are crap. No gadget is meant to last, let alone avoid scratches and be around long enough for a refinishing. Maybe wood reminds that man's collective experience with his favorite gadget is a fleeting one; maybe the trees are laughing at us.
