I just ventured into the bowels of the International Pavilion, a separate building beyond the North Hall that's home to tons of tiny booths of companies from Hong Kong, Taiwan and China. Basically, it's full of power supplies, shitty digital picture frames and knockoffs. So many knockoffs. Take a look through our gallery and try to spot ripoff versions of the iPod nano, touch, and classic, the Sidekick, and even the Ocean. All high quality, I'm sure.

Meizu's in there and you guys love Meizu.
Um..in pic IMG_2689.JPG - third item (im guess you called it a ripoff of the sidekick) - isn't that the fake Sony branded PMP that plays NES games that was on ebay that was making the rounds a few weeks or month back?
They're becoming more and more like the products when they're off... Guess I need to start buying from authorized resellers again... :(
@slingblade: I wouldn't say Giz loves Meizu. They def hate the iPhone ripoff, and they also claimed the M6 (shown) was an iPod nano ripoff... though I still think that claim was grasping at straws and reviews of that player were pretty damn good.
if you look at pticn.com they actually have a cool looking knock off. It looks like an apple iPod, but it runs Windows CE with a touch screen!
I feel like I'm in chinatown.
Are you sure you're at CES and not Walmart?
Yeah, whats with the Meizu hating here?
The M6's are decent players.
Also they seem to be the only company in this lot that are packaging their products in proper branded boxes without generic "MP4PLAYER" labelling.
My Meizu is actually pretty nice. I've had it for almost a year now and it's not once faltered. For the money, I doubt there is anything better.
Where are the cops when you need em?
Just out of curiosity - does anyone ever ask these rip-off artists "why?" What's their response?
First pic, fake iTouch on the far right, i have that. I frickin love it too! its a MP4 with touch, games, radio, 4gig flash, and you can add up to 4 more gigs. I payed 80dollars for it, totally worth it.
dustinftw: I saw one of those for sale in Shenzhen (China) recently. Was quite interested until the guy trying to sell it to me couldn't manage to get the touch screen to recognise his touch...
Glad its working for you though, it looked ok.
I wouldn't mind getting an Optimus Touch, seen here ... [www.youtube.com]
looks like an electronics store in hong kong. there's one on every block & they all sell the same stuff & look the same. fun to look at :}
All those knockoffs except the Meizus look like they'll fall apart from the small amount of wind that's produced when you walk by.
in some ways suiter than the original....
eg. i like ripoff sun glasses - especially with the comments on how cool a pair of 7 buck glasses look....
@flyboy: But all ripoff sunglasses have to do is stick to your face and block the sun. These have to do a lot more than that :p
