While we opted not to go to med school—a choice that we celebrate every day by working in our underwear (though also a choice we regret after catching ourselves in the eye once with a Wicked Laser, true story)—the scales may have tipped were this Operation Pen around several years back. Your favorite game on an obnoxiously oversized writing device, the organs are even fastened to the game with string so you don't lose all the pieces during your first particularly shaky weekend after losing rights to that prescription pad.
The Etch a Sketch pen is neat, too. Both run $5.50. [Product Page via nerdapproved]

But but.. this actually has been around for a few years at least. I'm class of '06 and these were sold when I was like a sophomore in highschool. Why can't you just admit your lack of an MD had nothing to do with writing utensils?
On a side note, there is also a nerf gun pen, which is way way cooler.
These have been around a while. I think they're awesome though. There's a buncha different ones too. Like a connect four one.
Huzzah! NERF PEN!
@warkrismagic: We will never, ever admit that. There was a huge pen shortage on our campus to boot.
Giz really needs a way to edit comments. Anyhow, this seller on amazon has a whole bunch more, including a play-doh pen!
Super.
They have a used "The Andy Milonakis Show Talking Pen".
A used one.
Hey imagine how much you'd save on appearances if you had a Pen that was also Teller?
@strider_mt2k: I swear, every time you are honored for something, the quality of your comments just plummets! It's like you say "Free Pass!" and just start typing random words for a few weeks.
Please, please, stop honoring strider_mt2k! We like it when he has to try!

I'm hoping they come out with a pen featuring a full miniature Risk board with tiny dice and armies.
I have already mastered the art of operation.
big naked white guy
with no scrumdillyumshus
no cash and prizes
Etch-a-sketch pen=a retro, yet unique way of passing notes in class when the cellphones are confiscated.
@Mark Wilson: Good God, man! I had this exact Operation pen at LEAST 10 years ago! And it broke at LEAST 9 years ago! :)
@92BuickLeSabre: Uh oh.
I better axe my "#2 Dixon Ticonderoga" bit then...
Very, very cool, especially Operation. I want one, just to improve the entertainment factor of my meeting doodles. Excellent way to waste time.
i have the etch-a-sketch one. my older brother has the operation one, and my little brother has one thats a nerf gun.
I've seen both of these at TOYS R US or CVS drugs for a while now.
The Etchasketch is usually really horrible, and the line isn't straight usually, it's all askew.
I never tried the Operation one. But it's cute for nostalgia's sake.
