I see this funkylicious bass guitar made out of LEGO and I'm all like waka-waka-waka-waka-waka and then I'm like wonk-waka-wonk-waka-wonk-wham-wham and my head explodes imagining Les Claypool playing it while sailing on a sea of cheese. The bass is real, with a Jazz Bass neck. Its creator says that it "sounds a lot like Flea's bass from the Chilli Peppers," which will probably make Frucci want to buy it, and learn to play. And then we will form a band, with me playing the amazing Angel Sword guitar and Jason playing drums. And we will call it Bricky Stardust and the Amazing Dildos from Mars. Or something like that. It looks like a sitar made of rainbow.
There is no way that sounds like a Flea Bass.
Nice idea, though personally I would prefer less of the "Lego vomit" look, and something of a more inspired design.
As interesting as it looks, I'm afraid I have to call BS.
There's no way an instrument made entirely of Legos would stand up the the strain of four bass strings.
It may be Lego-covered, but there must be some kind of sturdier structure underneath.
The design is very similar to the old Vox "teardrop" guitars. Pretty cool.
Legos probably aren't the most resonant of materials from which to make a guitar, but I would think this instrument would have a nice, earthy plonk to it.
@ideaman2020: Ah. Finally found the ebay page.
It is steel-reinforced. Alrighty, then.
Lego my bass before I busta cap inna ass!!
Ok, sorry, that made no sense whatsoever, but Legos get me all giddy inside :^)
I've seen it in action. At least, I've seen one just like it in action. My daughter's friend attends the Paul Green School of Rock (Yes, like the Jack Black movie). They had a Black Sabbath tribute show at a local theater last year, and one of the students performed with a lego bass. "(Lego)Generals gathered in their masseeeees! Just like (Lego)witches at black masseeeees!"
its so colorful it hurt my eyes
