I've never got into Guitar Hero, but if you're a fan and fancy a new controller, then here's Nyko's new Front Man for you. Wireless and fully compatible with GH3 (of course) it boasts all the usual control stuff like bidirectional strum bar and durable fret buttons. Plus it comes with interchangeable pick guards in "designer colors". That'll be black, white and shocking pink, then: perfect for those 70's riffs. It's available now for $49.99. [Ubergizmo]

So are these Telecaster rip-offs approved by Fender or are we going to have yet another guitar company suing Activision? Of course, every indy guitar builder in the world makes Tele knockoffs, but in a world when Gibson can sue them after endorsing the game, you never know...
@twistah:
Activison can't get sued on these, since it's not their product. Nyko, on the other hand...
Perhaps if there was one in Wine to match my real Tele
It is similar, but not quite the same.
Lack of strings, for instance.
So, I think they will be fine. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go and play some RE:4 with my new Nyko Zapper.
At least a proper Tele can have a tremelo, no matter how convoluted it is.....It never felt right using the Trem on my small scaled LP - it just felt WRONG.
i never like the tele design. it doesnt look right...
It doesn't look too bad, but I figure the official Rock Band one will be better quality, and since it will probably use the wiimote too, it should be usable for either game?
Big question... will it work with Guitar Hero I, II and Rocks the 80s on the PS3 via backwards compatibility?
If so then I can finally ditch my PS2...
@Jordan Lund: looks like a wii unit.
although i need a wireless guitar for 360 that works with multiple games, and has more or less the same build quality as the gibson x-plorer controller (i know it's cheapo, but other guitars have really soft buttons and oversized whammy bars, which i cant stand).
These were supposed to be available in March, but I'm not sure they're going to make it. Amazon.com had them for preorder for a while, but then pulled them and marked them as "unavailable."
On the other hand, I did see extra Wii guitars at Target just the other night -- official ones from Activision. Though their price was $79.99, while the bundle with the game was $89.99 -- only a $10 difference for the disc?
Hell, I may get the bundle and sell the extra disc on eBay. They seem to go for $15-20.
@Jordan Lund: Er, found a way to use the Wii remote with your PS3?
