no that would not be cool, all my apps fighting to use up my precious battery power, this is something that should be allowed on a case by case basis at most.
That would be boss. Much more elegant than my current work around. AKA dim the screen black.
This would be so "dank."

everything is cool for you as long as it is an Apple thing. If another non Apple phone is running background process, then that is
just a waste of battery and memory.
