This dad went above and beyond the traditional lazydad Carvel and built his son a cake in the shape of a tank, with a motorized rotating turret. The canon also adjusts elevation as it turns. But due to wife-husband restrictions from the Tank Cake Treaty of 2006, it does not fire whipped cream munitions anywhere near the freshly cleaned kitchen table, thank you very much mister. Seriously, this kid's life can't get any better. Every birthday from here on out is a disappointment. Enjoy your one day in the son kid!
Now if someone just made a cake that eats itself.
Damn - my dad never even bothered with a kindle cake. This pwns them pillbox cakes.
SNAP! This makes my dad look like crap w/ all of the pre-made B-day cakes he used to buy me xD
Somebody's been watching Ace of Cakes.
Mmmmmmm.... Fondant icing.
Looks like Play-doo...
Taste like Play-doo.
Still, no matter how it taste it's got to be one of the coolest cakes I've ever seen.
Bonus: eating it would reveal REAL BATTLE DAMAGE. Make some candy infantry, and battle will have never tasted so good.
@Darrone:
"Enjoy your one day in the son"
oh god, that sounds so wrong.
One day I'm just going to cover two asimos with frosting and have them duke it out.
Also, what's with all the cakes? There's a cake post a week on gizmodo? Is there some cake renaissance in America?
Can I trade my current dad for this much cooler one?
In some sick way it reminds me of that cakes that looked like the bride, rather creepy if you ask me.

I'd much rather have a tank on my cake. .. than have people eat me. Anyhow, what an awesome cake!!
@Pope John Peeps II: I say YES to weekly cake posts.
It's the initial installment of the dad's Modern Warfare in Cake series. Next year's will we'll see the tank commander at home, starting to notice the effects of depleted uranium exposure.
In a couple years the kid will be dreading his birthday.
I would've had to break the wife-husband treaty and install the cream launcher anyway.
Did he have to use bakeable hardware or did he bake the cake first, then mod it with electronics?
Cake, Awesome!
oh...that's the cake?
I'm not hungry anymore.
@GeekyNerdGuy: Yes.
that's pretty cool
I'd hate to get a loose screw in a piece tho
CRUNCH!... ow
@Pope John Peeps II: They must catch up to Kaketaku.
damn. if i had a kid, i'd feel really awkward now... One more reason not to learn to bake before having kids!
no cream munitions in the kitchen? thats too bad.
OOOPS. TO learn how to bake.
This reminds me of those cool tank fireworks that used to scoot forward a few inches then unleash a sparky hell on whatever was in front of it. Those things were awesome.
