The Week in iPhone Apps: Live From Giz Gallery

This week's app roundup is coming to you live from Giz Gallery, where the Call of Duty bullets are flying, and the rare and wonderful gadgets on display are being ogled by our NY Giz fans, before my very eyes! If you're in NYC, come on down. If not, check out the week in iPhone apps.

MotionX Poker Quest: All the same realistic rolling physics of the regular MotionX poker, but now, you're gambling against Egyptian gods as you work your way adventure style through ancient temples along the Nile. I've heard Horus deals a mean hand of Texas hold 'em and Anuket spares no one in the afterlife should they lose, so the stakes here are high. $3 for a limited time, then it's $5. There is also a Lite version for free.

Brothers In Arms: Hour of Heroes: We've been playing a lot of Call of Duty on our 103-inch screen here at the Gizmodo Gallery, so this Brothers in Arms version for iPhone is appetizing. WW2 is the setting, bazookas, machine guns the tools. It's $10.

Be Like Lil' Wayne: Remember app from last week that puts your face on a Turkey. This, friends, betters that by quite a bit by offering you the chance to try on choice items Lil' Wayne's vast bling collection. This is supposedly a few weeks old, but obviously too good to not bring to your attention now. It's a buck.

: And finally, do you want to avoid working with terrorist organizations and individuals in your wide-ranging international business dealings? Then AntiTerror is for you—a searchable directory of the European Union's complete terror embargo list. It's $2.

This week saw the release of tons of notable apps—which we covered in posts throughout the week. Here's this week's app news on Giz:

    • Joost Video Streaming iPhone App Makes Us Dream of Hulu

    • Lightning Review: Touchgrind for iPhone and iPod Touch

    • SMS Touch: Send Free Text Messages Through Email

    • Night Camera iPhone App Picks the Decisive Moment via Accelerometer, Eliminates Shaky Hands

    • List of Most Downloaded iPhone Apps is Full of Frivolous Crap

    • iPhone App Makes Logging On to Free AT&T Wi-Fi Not Suck

    • Amazon iPhone App Lets You Buy Anything You Take a Picture Of

    • Pilot the Batmobile With Your iPhone For $0.99

    • iPhone Music Game Tap Tap Revenge Hits the Floor In Sequel Tap Tap Dance

    • Homebrew iPhone App Lets You Reward Sparky From Afar

This list is in no way definitive. If you've spotted a great app that hit the store this week, give us a heads up or, better yet, your firsthand impressions in the comments. And for even more apps: see our previous weekly roundups here, and check out our original iPhone App Review Marathon. Have a good weekend everybody.
