After seeing Jud Turner’s skeleton bike the other day, it’s clear that he has some things going on in his head. Scary things—like this “Trilo Temporalis” trilobite fossil clock.

Obviously, the theme here is time—which makes the trilobite an appropriate foundation for the work considering that it lived over 250 million years ago. The working antique clock embedded in the steampunky metal brain illustrates the continuous passage of time and a connection to the dawn of life on Earth. And the good news is that this constant creepy reminder of your own mortality can be had for $2000. [Jud Turner via Make via io9]
