So here you are, eager to start contributing, but you can't figure out how to get a commenter account. The secret is to hit the "login" button in the upper right hand corner of the page.
You'll be offered the choice of logging into an existing commenter account or creating a brand new one at that point. It's a quick process and we only ask for the basic information we really need.
As soon as you've completed that step and confirmed your email address, you're ready to start commenting on Gizmodo—or on other sites in the Gawker Media Network because the accounts are universal. Do keep in mind that your account begins in an "audition" mode on each site and that your comments won't be visible to everyone until you're approved on the corresponding sites. Once you're approved though, all your prior comments will become visible, and any new ones will show up right away.
