What better way to encourage a kid to begin reading, than by fashioning a Lego minifig helmet with padded speakers that read the comic books’ blurbs aloud? Naturally part of the deal is that said kiddywink must read the comic book as well, thus getting some education along with the enjoyment.

Designer Jonathan Robson proposes that the Lego Club magazines he used to receive as a child should be brought into 2011 with activation codes for digital downloads of the audio files, which can be slid into the USB port on the back of the helmet via a (Lego) USB stick. I can definitely see kids getting behind this idea—make it so, Lego! [Jonathan Robson via Technabob]
